Erik Rose (known to some of his students as 'Mister E’) has over 30 years experience playing and teaching. In addition to being a freelance performer, Erik is an original member of the Sacramento based R&B/Funk band, Hip Service (www.hipservice.com) and a regular member of the Ron Cunha All Star Big Band. He has a wide range of experience including Marching, Jazz, and Symphonic Bands, Stage Shows, and Chamber Ensembles.

Erik earned his Bachelor's degree from UCLA and his Master's degree from USC. In his own words, "I feel lucky to have grown up in the Los Angeles area where I had the chance to study and perform with some the finest musicians and teachers. My goal is to share the things I have learned with students of all ages and abilities. It is particularly rewarding to work with young students as they develop new skills and then see them apply those skills across music, academics, sports and more."
